Federal Legislative and Regulatory Update

Course Description: 

Join AMCP Policy & Government Relations staff for a discussion on the federal activity regarding health policy. This session will focus on AMCP’s priority issues, including pre-approval information exchange, prescription digital therapeutics, and performance-based reimbursement. Other bills and regulations relevant to managed care pharmacy being considered by Congress or the administration, or anticipated for consideration in 2023, will also be presented.

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Identify the must-pass health care legislation recently signed into law and its major provisions.
  2. Describe at least two federal health legislative proposals anticipated in the coming year.
  3. Summarize the Biden administration’s recent regulatory action that will impact the practices of managed care pharmacy professionals and teams.
