Program Description

The CY 2025 Medicare Part D Redesign will introduce changes that will impact how people view Medicare. The implications of the IRA and its provisions continue to impact every stakeholder from beneficiaries and health plans to PBMs and pharmaceutical manufacturers. 

This session will focus on the successes and challenges that stakeholders are experiencing as they prepare for the CY 2025 Medicare Part D redesign as well as the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan.

 

 

Target Audience

This knowledge-based activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists in managed care settings. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  1. Describe the 2025 Part D benefit redesign.
  2. Explain the provisions of the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan and how it impacts Medicare Part D beneficiaries.
  3. Understand the drugs selected for drug price negotiation for 2026 and 2027.
  4. Describe the plan sponsors oversight and monitoring activities.
