[eLD 2] Research Podium Session - Leveraging Real-World Data to Advance Managed Care Pharmacy Practice
Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 2-3 pm ET Pricing: Free for Members and $99 for Non-Members
Program Description
Each year, hundreds of authors submit research abstracts to AMCP’s Annual Meeting. Accepted abstracts are presented as posters in the Expo Hall and published in a special issue of the Journal of Managed Care + Specialty Pharmacy. Top abstracts are awarded platinum ribbons and presented at the Research Podium Session.
AMCP’s 2026 platinum abstracts had a common theme – use of real-world data to advance managed care pharmacy practice. In this Research Podium Session, authors will describe novel ways to leverage and link datasets to provide a deeper understanding of patients and outcomes.
The platinum abstract presentations from AMCP 2026 that will be discussed during this webinar are:
- GLP-1RA vs. SGLT2i: Preventing Kidney Function Deterioration Among Patients with Type 2 Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease
- Characteristics Associated with Nonadherence from Data Collected as Part of an Automated Refill Reminder Program
- Out-of-Pocket (OOP) Costs Burden for Prescription Drugs: Trends and Disparities in Commercial Insurance Design

This knowledge-based activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists in managed care settings.
