Oncology Pipeline 2026: Advances, Trends, and Impact

Program Description
Oncology remains a leading driver of drug spend, with global expenditures projected to exceed $400 billion by 2028 and newly launched agents carrying increasingly high price tags. At the same time, the oncology pipeline continues to expand rapidly, introducing novel mechanisms, biomarker-driven therapies, and complex treatment paradigms. How can managed care stakeholders stay ahead of what’s coming next?
This session will highlight key recent FDA approvals and late-stage pipeline agents poised to reshape hematology and oncology practice. Through real-world considerations and emerging outcomes data, faculty will explore clinical impact, evolving standards of care, and implications for formulary decision-making, utilization management, and total cost of care. Attendees will gain practical insights to proactively evaluate upcoming therapies and prepare for their impact on patients, providers, and payers.

Target Audience

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Identify recently approved and late-stage investigational oncology therapies for solid and hematologic malignancies expected to impact clinical practice.
- Differentiate the mechanisms of action, clinical indications, and key efficacy and safety data of emerging oncology agents across major therapeutic classes.
- Evaluate the potential impact of new and upcoming oncology drug approvals on formulary management, and overall managed care decision-making.
