The Evolving Role of Patient Experience Data in Formulary and Coverage Decision-Making
Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 12:00 PM–1:00 PM EST Pricing: Free for Members and Non-Members
Program Description
Patient experience data (PED) are increasingly recognized as an important component of patient-centered health care decision-making, yet their role in payer decision-making continues to evolve. This session will provide an overview of recent developments in the PED landscape, including insights from AMCP's 2026 Partnership Forum on advancing the use of PED in managed care. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of PED and explore how payers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, patient organizations, and other stakeholders are evaluating, communicating, and applying these data in health care decision-making, and how their use may be further advanced in payer decision-making. Through a moderated panel discussion featuring experts from managed care, industry, and health policy, speakers will examine key themes related to the value, communication, credibility, and application of PED in coverage and formulary decision-making. The session will conclude with practical recommendations and future directions for advancing the meaningful use of patient experience data in payer decision-making.
