Beyond the Buzzwords: What We Learned Bridging Pharmacy, Quality, AI, and Data Science to Improve Performance
Pricing: Free for Members and Non-Members
Course Description
Pharmacy, quality improvement, and data science each bring their own “buzzwords” from CMS Star Ratings to predictive modeling and AI. When these disciplines remain siloed, opportunities for meaningful improvement are missed. This structured fireside chat moves beyond jargon to share real-world lessons from managed care pharmacists and data professionals who learned to collaborate across business, clinical, and analytic domains. Attendees will hear how this interdisciplinary approach led to over 2% growth in adherence among health equity index (HEI) and dual eligible special needs plans (DSNP) members in 1 year, sustaining 4.5+/4 STAR ratings across multiple CMS contracts, and other quality outcomes in a 1.3-million-member health plan across commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business. Participants will leave with practical strategies to foster collaboration, enhance data literacy, and turn analytic insights into better patient care and improved organizational performance, thereby reducing risk and protecting key revenue streams through high performance in Stars.
Target Audience
Pharmacists who practice in managed care settings.
