Driving Quality in Oncology Medication Use Through Precision Medicine
Pricing: Free for Members and $30 for Non-Members
Course Description
Precision medicine is reshaping care, but access remains suboptimal due to fragmented coverage, inconsistent clinical utility frameworks, and operational complexity. The rapid evolution of precision medicine in oncology presents both opportunities and challenges for organizations striving to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
This session will provide an overview of the evolving precision medicine landscape with a focus on how fragmentation in the precision medicine ecosystem can be addressed by standardizing terminology, aligning clinical and coverage policies, and developing best practices for medication use quality. Faculty will present a framework for best practices and highlight collaborative solutions that improve access, guideline concordance, and outcomes in oncology. Through data and practical examples, participants will gain insights into how organizations can operationalize precision medicine to improve medication access, optimize outcomes, and ensure consistency in the use of oncology. The session will provide resources and strategies for stakeholders to advance medication use quality in the era of precision medicine.
Target Audience
Pharmacists who practice in managed care settings.
