Patient Experience Data in Managed Care Pharmacy Decision Making; Barriers, Opportunities, and Practical Strategies for Managed Care Pharmacists
Pricing: Free for Members and $30 for Non-Members
Course Description
This session explores how managed care pharmacists can better understand patient experience data (PED) and clinical outcome assessments and their roles in regulatory decisions and health technology assessments. Drawing on recent payer research, faculty will discuss current payer perceptions, common barriers to incorporating PED in benefit design, and why PED is often underutilized by formulary decision-makers. The session will also address educational gaps and provide a look to the future as the importance of PED in coverage and benefit design continues to grow, equipping pharmacists with actionable insights to bridge the gap between patient-centered evidence and managed care decision-making. Faculty will also provide real-world examples to illustrate how PED is commonly incorporated in clinical study endpoint design today.
Target Audience
Pharmacists who practice in managed care settings.
