Program Description

This webinar will provide an overview of the prevalence, pathology, and disease management of Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS), a group of ultra-rare inherited metabolic disorders for which there is currently no cure. Panelists will share key insights and findings from AMCP’s Market Insights Roundtable, The Role of Managed Care in Improving Patient Care in Mucopolysaccharidosis.

Speakers will discuss current treatment approaches, including hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and intravenous enzyme replacement therapy, highlighting their demonstrated clinical benefits as well as their limitations. Attendees will also hear perspectives from patient caregivers and advocates on access barriers that increase patient and family burden, along with strategies for how payers and advocates can collaborate to reduce these challenges and improve quality of life.

The webinar will conclude with an overview of the MPS treatment pipeline and a discussion of the potential impact of emerging therapies on patient outcomes and disease management.
