Program Description

Rare diseases affect hundreds of millions globally, presenting complex challenges in clinical care, resource allocation, and patient access. This webinar will explore the realities of living with rare conditions, spotlight two disease states – myasthenia gravis and phenylketonuria (PKU). Participants will examine advances in treatment, the evolving patient experience, and the impact of managed care strategies designed to improve outcomes and equity. By exploring these two distinct diseases, the session aims to illustrate how innovative therapies and patient-centered approaches can transform care for those affected by rare disorders.

Target Audience

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  1. Define the clinical, economic, and healthcare resource utilization burden of Myasthenia Gravis (MG) and Phenylketonuria (PKU).
  2. Summarize the current landscape and future trends of MG and PKU therapies.
  3. Examine the patient's journey and perspective on MG and PKU treatment value, share decisions-making, and access to care.
  4. Discuss managed care considerations to incorporate the patient value and access to innovative therapies into managed care decision-making for improved health outcomes.
