Program Overview

The P&T Skills Training Program guides learners through the full formulary decision-making process. Participants will explore the role of P&T committees, examine the components of a drug monograph, and practice the literature-searching and evidence-evaluation skills needed to support a recommendation. The course also introduces cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, formulary tier placement, and utilization management strategies, helping learners connect evidence review with real-world implementation. Together, the modules provide a practical foundation for developing and presenting a comprehensive recommendation for the AMCP Foundation P&T Competition.
